Al Athar General Contracting (AGC) is a United Arab Emirates-based company headquartered in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The company was founded in 1993 by Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed Mohamedrasool Alzaabi as Al Athar Engineering. In 2023, the company was renamed Al Athar General Contracting (AGC) and expanded as a family extension of ‘Speed Fire and Safety Equipment LLC’ due to increased construction demand in the UAE market. The company has grown incrementally, remains resilient despite difficult market conditions, and employs a forward-thinking spirit based on passionate QHSE leadership, financial discipline, and efficient use of resources.
AGC is one of the leading companies in the GCC sector with vast knowledge in the Middle East and is supported by a strong team of experienced and talented people. The company has a lot of potential and knows how to prove it to its customers, especially thanks to its history of very safe work and its flexibility to face even the most challenging situations in terms of time and schedule.
For over 30 years, AGC has supported multiple clients including the Abu Dhabi government and its various departments, refinery clients such as ADNOC, ADCO, Takreer and Borouge, and most of the major oil and gas companies in the GCC region. Our responsibilities include a range of proficiency- offshore and onshore services, major civil/electrical /mechanical engineering works such as Earth works, road works, Industrial and commercial buildings, Infrastructure works, water and sewerage works, electrical and mechanical works.
